We're located in Jambiani village on Zanzibar's peaceful South East Coast, about 90 minutes from the airport and a beach walk away from Paje. Whether you're arriving by taxi, dalla dalla, or arranged transfer, we're easy to find and even easier to fall in love with.
Sustainable tourism is becoming more important than ever, especially in our little coconut paradise, which has been completely overrun by foreign investment since the pandemic.
However wonderful the growth of recent years may be, it is also leaving its mark and causing damage to our little paradise.
For us, travelling means immersing ourselves in a culture without damaging it. It means learning with all our senses and sharing the values, ideas and customs we bring with us.
What do we do at Teddy?
As the founding team behind SLOW TRAVEL ZANZIBAR, we highlight the issues and offer thoughtful advice on how to stay in a way that’s kind to the island. We’ve only just had solar panels installed, we’ve done away with single-use plastic, we don’t sell water bottles but offer free refillable water instead, we’re proud of our compost, and we simply work closely with and for the community. Humble and happy.
